Women of the ELCA

Our goal as an organization is to live God’s justice and be Disciples of Christ through our works.

Who are the members?

All women of the congregation are considered members of the organization; when you join the church, you become a member.  As our daughters grow to adulthood, they become members.

Local Projects and Activities

The women take care of several duties around the church which include the following:
  • Setting up and taking down Communion for worship services (Altar Guild)
  • Keeping the church kitchen in order
  • Serving luncheon following funeral service
  • Making and giving a Baptismal Quilt to children presented for Baptism

Mission Projects of the Organization

  • Staffing the Clothes Closet in Mt. Horeb (1 month of the year) and collecting gently used clothing
  • Making quilts for Lutheran World Relief (LWR)  55 quilts were created and shipped in 2022. Anyone who likes is invited to join us in making and assembling quilt for this ministry. Contact Judy Johnson or Marcia Thompson for more info.
