AED Machine

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that delivers an electric shock to the heart.  It has the ability to stop an irregular heart and to allow a normal rhythm following sudden cardiac arrest.  This machine can save a life.

Our AED machine at BLC is located on the wall in the gathering space to the right of the church office door.  If someone has collapsed or has had a heart attack below are steps you can take to use the AED machine.

  1. Try to wake the person if they have collapsed.
  2. Call 911 and get the AED.
  3. Tell the emergency operator the person has collapsed and you have an AED.
  4. Turn on the AED and follow the voice prompts.

Below you can view the specifics of how to use the AED machine we have at BLC.
