AED Machine
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that delivers an electric shock to the heart. It has the ability to stop an irregular heart and to allow a normal rhythm following sudden cardiac arrest. This machine can save a life.
Our AED machine at BLC is located on the wall in the gathering space to the right of the church office door. If someone has collapsed or has had a heart attack below are steps you can take to use the AED machine.
1.Try to wake the person if they have collapsed.
2. Call 911 & get the AED Tell the emergency operator that the person has collapsed and that you have an AED.
3.Turn on the AED & follow the voice prompts
